German Shepherd dogs, as well as the other herding breeds that we have in rescue, are highly active, energetic, working breeds. They require considerable vetting, exercise, socialization, training, leadership and mental stimuli in order to be well-adjusted, well-balanced, and well-mannered dogs. Even if you exercise and play with your dog daily in your fenced yard, you MUST still take your dog out on daily walks and outings in order to work on his/her leash skills, manners, and social skills. These breeds make great additions to active families who will pamper them, but who will also work with them, as they are smart dogs who need leadership, structure, plenty of activity and mental stimulation.

Adsila, her mom, and her 3 siblings, were all dumped on a highway in rural Missouri. A good Samaritan saw Adsila's mom and stopped to assist before she got run over. Imagine their  surprise, when they also found four 7-week-old puppies in the ditch nearby: Adsila and her 3 little siblings! They are all safe and looking for their forever homes.

Adsila is a very pretty, dark brindle 12-week old girl. Adsila likes to play with her furry siblings, but she loves people most. She likes to playfully take toys from her brother, and she loves to play outside and roll in the grass. She is curious about cats, but knows to leave them alone when the cat has had enough. Adsila is an active little pup, but she is also very cuddly and loves to be held!
