German Shepherd dogs, as well as the other herding breeds that we have in rescue, are highly active, energetic, working breeds. They require considerable vetting, exercise, socialization, training, leadership and mental stimuli in order to be well-adjusted, well-balanced, and well-mannered dogs. Even if you exercise and play with your dog daily in your fenced yard, you MUST still take your dog out on daily walks and outings in order to work on his/her leash skills, manners, and social skills. These breeds make great additions to active families who will pamper them, but who will also work with them, as they are smart dogs who need leadership, structure, plenty of activity and mental stimulation.

Magnus is a gorgeous, 2 y.o., long-haired GSD who is very lovable and eager to please. Magnus has a wonderful temperament and he is quick learner! 

Magnus is a true social butterfly and loves everyone and all dogs. He knows his own charm, and will go sit by the door whenever anyone knocks just so he can say hello ;). Magnus is super smart! He quickly learned "sit", "shake", "down", and he is getting pretty good at "wait" and "leave it". Magnus loves food, yet takes treats very gently. He is such a good boy! Magnus does great in his crate when his humans are gone. 

Magnus loves chew toys and loves to play tug-o-war with just about any toy he can find. He also enjoys playing chase with the other dogs in the yard. He is a very sweet boy who loves to get attention, and be petted, and played with. He is very active, yet, he doesn't mind just cuddling up next to or on top of you at the end of the day either. He is a lover! Magnus loves water!!! He loves sprinklers, the hose, and splashing around and laying down in his doggy pool. 

Magnus does great on walks and car rides and loves going on adventures with his humans! Magnus is magnificent in both temperament and looks. He is a fantastic boy who will be the pride and joy of his new family. 

Like all German Shepherd youngsters, Magnus will need training, consistency, boundaries, and lots of activity and socialization, in order to be a well-balanced, well-behaved dog.
